  1. Great Pull Up bar, Price is right review by Joel M on 1/16/2016

Installed 1/15/15. Definitely the best valued pull up bar out there. Easy to install, very sturdy. I used 3/8x4 lag bolts and flat washers and it is solid (only hardware provided is 6 expansion bolts and 2 bar bolts). I'm 200 lbs, 6'1" and it works great for me. Distance from the wall is plenty to do kipping pull ups or muscle ups. Very sturdy.

I have two cons: One is that it does NOT come with knurled sections as advertised. Even the picture on the box has knurled sections, but the actual bar does not. BUT the finish on the bar is not smooth; it feels just like the Rogue rig bars at my box - not slippery at all. The second is the installation instructions are just a diagram of where the bolts go. It is a very easy install for any DIYer, but you'll have to Google instructions if you need them.

    Overall, highly recommended!

  2. Excellent product; great price! review by Eric on 10/18/2015

I purchased Rep's wall-mounted pull up bar after doing a lot of research and thinking into what I needed for my home gym, the quality and workmanship of competing products, and price (including delivery charges). The Rep product compares, imo, most closely to the excellent Rogue P-4 pull up system. The dimensions are virtually the same, both appear to be of 11-gauge steel (totally sufficient), and both are well constructed (i.e., cuts, holes, welds, fits). However, the Rep product was $20 less expensive than Rogue's and came with free delivery. I mounted the rig in my garage, which is dry walled so that finding stud centers was necessary (and no problem using the Frankiln Sensors ProSensor 710, the best stud finder out there imo). I used 3/8th x 4 in. lag screws with one 3/8th in. flat washer on each of the six screws. This gave me 2-1/2 in penetration into the studs for a very secure mounting. The screws and washers hardware were not provided with the product, but are inexpensive. The product package did contain six expansion bolts that are used instead of lag screws when the user mounts into concrete block and the like instead of wood studs. I cannot find anything that I do not like about this product. No cons at all. Really. I feel very confident that it will last for many years. Recommend it without hesitation. And the service at Rep Fitness was excellent.
