Rep 5 lb Extra-Firm Bumper Plates

Starting the pull at the right height is very important to learning the Olympic lifts. It's a lot harder to learn the proper technique with the bar loaded with a weight that is not standard diameter, which is why the 5 lb extra-firm bumper plates exist. You should be setting these down as much as possible, rather than dropping from overhead, which should be easy to do with a technique bar and 5 lb plates. Make your equipment last a lifetime!

    I run an Olympic Lifting area of a CrossFit box, where we have crossfitters, sports athletes, and Olympic lifters coming to train. We have had a few pairs of these for the past couple months and they have been perfect for teaching technique, and these give them the correct pull height.
